Good morning everyone – can we pause a moment for morning prayer.

Today, as we celebrate LGBTQ+ Day we would like to think of all the members of the LGBTQ+ community who have helped shape the world that we live in, into a more accepting and equal society.   People like Ellen De Generes, Tom Daly and Freddie Mercury continue to inspire people, young and old around the world to love who they want to love and be the truest forms of themselves.

Ellen De Generes once said, “Find out who you are and be that person. That’s what your soul was put on this earth to be.  Find that truth, live that truth and everything else will come.”

Today, and everyday, we should strive to create a school environment where people feel loved and accepted for who they are.  As a community, we support one another as we travel through life figuring out who we are and who we want to become.

Today, we pray for the courage to embrace who we are and the strength to stand up for what we believe in.  We also want to pray for anyone that has ever been mistreated or judged because of who they love or who they identify as.  May we continue to be inspired and empowered by them everyday.

The school is now closed and will reopen on Monday 29th April.
