Loreto Abbey will receive the Green Flag for Energy Conservation on May 24th in The Helix, DCU.  Well done to the Green Schools Committee guided by Ms Madden, on this achievement.

Congratulations to the Junior A basketball team who reached the All Ireland Final in the National Basketball Arena against IS Killorglin.

57 Fifth Years, 10 staff and 2 parents pitched their tents on the Docks on a windy Friday evening recently.  The camp-out raised €3,650.85 for Medecins Sans Frontieres.  We are indebted to the Dublin Port Company for their incredible generosity and support and to Halfords for sponsoring tents.  An Afghan migrant spoke to the group and students benefitted from the opportunity to question her on the reality of living in Ireland.

The Loreto Abbey-Blackrock College Musical “Fake News” will take place in the Jubilee Hall at Blackrock College, from Tuesday 9th to Friday 12th May each evening at 7.30 p.m.    Tickets are on sale from our school office this week – Students €10 and Adults €15.

Rachel Bennett (2nd Year) will be presented with a Special Merit Category B Award in the Texaco Children’s Art Competition with an entry entitled “More is More and Less is a Bore” on Thursday May 25th.
