The Junior 1 Hockey team defeated Rathdown 3-1 in the Leinster Finals in Three Rock on Thursday afternoon in a thrilling and skilful game.  Congratulations to the team composed of 3rd and 4th Years and to Ms Coyne, their coach, on such a successful season.

The Concern Debating team, Aisling Round, Allyce Malynn, Sarah Dempsey and Isobel Kearns, defeated Fingal Community College in the knock-out stages of the Competition.  Well done to the team and to Lynn Manahan, their mentor.

The Board of Management, Principal and Staff extend our sympathies to the family of Mrs. Angela Maume, former Deputy Principal and Science/Biology teacher who died on Friday 9th February 2018.   Angela was an inspirational educator, a pioneer on access to STEM subjects for girls and a dedicated proponent of the values of Mary Ward.

May Angela rest in peace.

We also sympathise with Mrs. Brenda O’Neill, former Deputy Principal, on the passing of her mother, Mrs. Kay Devlin,  during the week.

Congratulations to the Concern Debating Team, Aisling Round, Allyce Malynn, Sarah Dempsey, Isobel Kearns  &  Julia Evans who defeated Dominican Muckross last week in an exciting debate.  Well Done !

Our basketball teams were playing in 6 major games on Tuesday last.  

We defeated Loreto St. Stephen’s Green in the South Dublin Senior A Final.  Jennifer Dunne was named as the Most Valuable Player. 

Following that game, the Senior B team defeated Holy Child Killiney with Orlaith Allen selected as the Most Valuable Player and finally the Cadette B’s defeated Holy Child Killiney with Jenny Marshall named as the Most Valuable Player. The Minor A, Junior A and Junior C teams all won their Leinster league games and move on in these competitions.
