I wish to congratulate the Class of 2018 on their excellent Leaving Certificate results.We acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of all our students. Guided and mentored by dedicated teachers and supported by caring parents, each girl worked consistently over two years to achieve personal bests in very challenging examinations. We are very proud of all our graduates.

The Loreto School Community expresses our deepest sympathy to the family of Daran Gowen, mum of Lily (1st Year), who passed away on Saturday last. May she rest in peace.

Following a consultation with staff and students, Olivia Ní Fhearraigh has been appointed Head Girl for the 2018/2019 academic year.  She will be assisted by Deputy Head Girls, Iris Benny and Sophia Bolger.

The Fourth Year group and their teachers enjoyed four days touring Lake Garda, Venice and Verona.

The beautiful weather and scenery, combined with an action packed itinerary, ensured that all enjoyed a really memorable tour.

Congratulations to Alana Ryan (6th Year) who won the 100m and 200m Leinster Championship on Saturday and has now qualified for the All Ireland Athletics Championship.

Emma Ryan (5th Year) was placed 3rd in the 1500m against strong competition from European competitors.
