We welcomed the class of 1996 for a tour of the school on Saturday evening prior to attending a function in town. The tour provided an opportunity to relive moments and see the many developments that have taken place in that time. Thank you to Helen Leonard, Ann Marie McKeogh and Grainne Grehan for organising such an enjoyable event.

Ms Gillick has just completed writing a new textbook for Leaving Certificate Home Economics. We congratulate her and her co-author, Laura Healy on the completion of such a successful project and we look forward to using the book in class from September.

Mollie O'Reilly represented us in the All Ireland Athletics Championships in Tullamore on June 4th. She raced against top competitors from all four provinces and started to pick up speed at the 300 meter stage. Her pace slowly increased up until the final 100 meters when she really took off, fighting tooth and nail to win 1st place. She is an incredible Irish athlete and it's an honour to have her compete for Loreto Dalkey. Congratulations Mollie!

Congratulations to our golf team who played in the Loreto Golf All Ireland Competition in Wexford Golf Club yesterday. Further congratulations to Kate Walker who came 2nd overall. She shot a super round of 39 and narrowly missed out on winning the competition. The whole team battled rain and wind and had some fabulous shots.

We were delighted to welcome competitors and parents to Loreto Abbey over the weekend. One thousand performers took part in a variety of competitions. The beautiful weather contributed to a most enjoyable event. Congratulations to Mr. Raymond Reilly and his team on such meticulous organisation.

Congratulations to our Senior A Tennis team who won the Loreto Shield on Thursday. The members of the team are Fiona Murphy, Laura Fitzgerald, Leah Curtin, Niamh Hughes, Julie Cullen and Lynn Manahan
