Well done to the 6th Year Spanish Debating Team who are through to the Quarter Finals, for their next debate on President Elect Trump.

Jessica Timlin was awarded Best Speaker in our debate against Loreto,  St. Stephen’s Green on Wednesday evening.

Lucy Rice, Grace and Helen O'Beirne, Kate Ballance, Aislinn Smith, Sarah Byrne and Victoria Dinn represented Loreto Dalkey in the Loreto All Ireland Rowing Day on Friday 14th October in Neptune Rowing Club in Islandbridge.

Congratulations to Grace and Helen O'Beirne, Lucy Rice and Aislinn Smith who came 2nd overall on the day.

Fourth Years attended the Zeminar conference in the RDS on Tuesday. The conference was featured in the Irish Times yesterday and focuses on positive Mental Health for teenagers.

Meanwhile, Sixth Years attended a very successful "Two days of Reflection" last weekend in Ovoca Manor, Arklow facilitated by the R.E. and Chaplaincy teams.

 Jodie MacNamee, Lynn Manahan, Ailbhe Noonan, Ellen O’Shea and Aoife Pryce  are receiving Entrance Scholarship  Awards in UCD on Thursday November 17th and Niamh Hughes, Eimear Lagan, Iseult McMahon and Celia Reynolds will receive Trinity Entrance Exhibitions on Tuesday 22ndNovember.

Well done to all the girls who entered the TY challenge to design a poster to advertise the Parents Social evening which is happening this Friday, 21st October.

The Winning entry was by Alice Wright. Joint 2nd were Emma Flanagan and Jennifer Crowe.  Alice will be given a cash prize of €25 euro and joint second will get a €10 each.  Many thanks to all the girls in TY for all your support on this challenge.

Parents Assoication

 

Ms O'Connell, Ms Boland, Daria Vecchio, Orlagh Allen, Athena Koumarianos and Ella Turbidy attended the presentation of the Well Read national award ceremony in City West, as one of the 25 schools receiving a flag and certificate.

The award is given to schools that have promoted reading within the school and the wider community.

On Tuesday, we celebrated International Girls Day.  Each girl received chocolate to mark the event.
