The Junior A Basketball Team played in the All Ireland Semi Finals and subsequently in the Finals yesterday.  Unfortunately they lost 44-29 to Killorglin.  We applaud their dedication and commitment.


Our Athletics team returned home with 5 medals in the East Leinster Championships and our swimming team (Sorcha Gueret, Katie Baguley, Charlotte O’Riordan and Zofja Cautley) who came 2nd in the All Ireland Swimming Championships.

Huge Congratulations to Kate Hamilton in second year and Cayla Rose O’ Sullivan in third year.

Both girls have creative writing work published in the Irish Times ‘Fighting Words’ supplement today.

Well done girls, we are very proud of you.

TY students are looking forward to the visit of  Loreto Abbey Graduates from 1967 from all around the globe.

These graduates have led fascinating lives and are coming back to share some of their experiences with our TY students on Friday 28th April.

The Board of Management, Principal, staff and students express their deepest sympathy  to Ms Eve Kilgallon (teacher of French and Resource) and her family on the passing of her father, Mr. James Kilgallon.   May he rest in peace.

Sympathies are also expressed to the family of Hannah Molloy (2nd Year) on the sad passing of her mother, Mrs. Jennifer Molloy, this week.  May she rest in peace.

Mr. Eoin Hughes, Geography, Music and I.T. teacher has been selected to join the Apple Distinguished Educator class of 2017. Mr Hughes is now a member of Apple education innovators and joins 2,500 colleagues around the globe who are recognised for turning fresh,new ideas into educational realities using I.T.

Congratulation to the 1st Year B Team who  were runners up in the Loreto LEague last Saturday.
