Congratulations to Hannah Shepherd Carroll, Thea Hodges, Anna Quinn and Lucy Craig who have progressed to the next round in the Spanish Teachers’ Association debates, having defeated Blackrock College last evening.

Congratulations to our Senior Spanish Debating Team who defeated St. Wolstan’s Celbridge last Tuesday in the first round.  Thank you to their mentors, Ms Mooney and Ms Lenehan. 

Dasha Lee (2E) sat the assessment test and was accepted into the Trinity Walton Club which is Ireland's first dedicated STEM Club.

The draw for the half - fee worth €2,085 took place at the AGM of the Parents' Association on Tuesday evening. The winner was Mr. Gavin Cassidy, ( Amy 1C). Our thanks to all who contributed.

Loreto Abbey was presented with a Health Promoting School’s Flag from Ms Rosemary Scott, Health Promotions Officer from the HSE.  The presentation is in recognition of the work completed by the Healthy Schools Committee and the SPHE Advisory Group.   We thank all for their efforts and look forward to their continued work in health promotion.

They travelled from early morning, were stationary in traffic for hours outside of Tullamore eventually returning home. The event was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. The highlight of the day was lunch in Eddie Rockets. 

We admire their good humour and patience in very difficult circumstances.
