Dalkey Diary Issue No.24
February 28, 2025
Dear Parents,
We were delighted to welcome our students back to school for a busy week full of positive action. Students are to be commended for their high standard of uniform and punctuality and we encourage them to continue this in the coming term.
Well done also to our students who received Merits this week, as always we encourage you to view your daughter’s Attendance and Behaviour tab on VSware.
Next week D.E.A.R (Drop everything and read) will take place at the end of every class where possible to celebrate World Book Week. Students have been asked to bring a book in their bag to read during this valuable literacy time.
To celebrate ‘Women in Sport Week’, we invite you to view the free Sport Ireland webinars on supporting young women in sport available at this link: https://www.sportireland.ie/women-in-sport/women-in-sport-week
Saturday 8th March marks our second whole school exercise based fundraiser for our sister schools in South Sudan, entitled ‘Sprint for South Sudan’. We encourage parents to sign up to take part in this worthy event via Easy Payments on our website. Siblings are also welcome to participate and it promises to be a fun day out for all the family on our sports pitches. We look forward to seeing you there.
I attach Issue No.24 of the ‘Dalkey Diary’ which provides you with an insight into this week,
Kind regards,
Gráinne Byrne
Deputy Principal
